Our Candidate!

Kay’s running for School Treasurer. Here’s the mug shot we did for her
posters.

  1. Well, unfortunately, it was a costly but short-lived campaign.

It turns out K turned in her election application last Thursday rather than Wednesday when it was due. The election committee agreed on Thursday that she (and two other latecomers) couldn’t run, but didn’t get the note to her teacher until Friday — and Friday was the second day of the all-day 5th Grade Field Trip, so her teacher didn’t see the note, and so Kay (and Margie) didn’t find out until they were there at the school this morning hanging the posters we spent some hours working on last night.

    *sigh*

Kitten is actually handling it all in a very sanguine fashion. I think she was a bit worried about the whole running for office / being voted for (against) / etc., plus the speech they would have had to do on Friday. For what it’s worth, her posters were great, and her art teacher commented on that.

  2. On the bright side, we ended up with a color printer out of it. And as a consolation prize, I replaced the inner tube on Kay’s back bike tire, which made her happy.
