Went out for a vigorous morning walk with a group here at the conference. Actually feel vaguely virtuous for getting exercise. #
I love oatmeal. Of course I love it full of raisins and brown sugar, but … #
Gave in and ran over to the local Macy's to buy light jacket. Even my thermostat isn't up to a harbor cruise tonight in shirt sleeves. #
Beginning to hit my stride at conference. Feeling more a participant than an observer/guest. #
Last panel of the day, then off to a harbor cruise, described as "a three hour tour." Uh-oh. #GilligansConference #
Cruise complete. If casino were real, I would have broken even. Plus drinks, dinner, drinks with irksome client. #

#Trump cares nothing about the hoi polloi, even if he supposedly depends on their support and worship. Picnics? Fishing? Enjoying cherry blossoms? Insignificant against being able to create a #golfcourse for him and his cronies.

It is a wild cop-out for Evangelical GOPers like #MikeJohnson to recast #Matthew25 as solely an individual call to care for the poor. If legislation has nothing to do with individual moral decisions, why do Johnson and his cohort pray together before big votes?

Actions one takes as a political leader, or a business leader, or in a voting booth, or in any group setting, are still *individual* actions, with an inevitable moral dimension. Denying that is wrong.

I admit I've been a bit surprised that the holiday hasn't been a more active target by the history-rewriting #TrumpRegime (who believe that *dictating* history is an important way to *control* the future).
