Doesn’t the fancy new microwave come with a popcorn setting?
This was at work. But even in those cases, it’s usually “put in the weight/qty, and we’ll guesstimate how long it should cook for,” which is better than nothing.
Mine did. It cooks the popcorn 5-15 seconds too long. As I indicated in my response to the doppleganger post, I have to listen for the pop rate to slow and rescue the corns before they burn.
I now know that the mw at the office takes 1:30 to properly cook a normal bag of mw popcorn. Yay, experience.
