- CU gets new logo in $780,000 rebranding effort – Boulder Daily Camera – On the one hand, looking at the plethora of existing logos, I can understand the concern. On the other hand, reading the story it seems that the $780K was mostly to a design firm to run the project, and doesn’t count any actual letterhead, business cards, or signage changes (i.e., implementation costs).
- Nat’l Geo – Highway #1, Los Angeles – Edward Burtynsky – Okay, the “#1” here must refer to a sequence of highway photos, as this is not CA-1. Lacking source notes, my best guess is that it is looking south along the Harbor Freeway (I-110) at the Century Freeway (I-205) interchange.

It’s the 110/105 interchange, looking southbound over the 110.
PS: A quick Wikipedia search tells me this is officially named the Judge Harry Pregerson Interchange. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judge_Harry_Pregerson_Interchange)
PPS: A second search tells me Harry Pregerson is relevant because he’s the longest serving judge in the history of the Ninth Circuit and supervised the settlement of the lawsuit that allowed the construction of the interchange. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Pregerson)

Ugh. I said the 205 — meant the 105. In my defense, it wasn’t quite open yet when I moved from town. But I’m pleased I got it correct, numbers aside.
