Unblogged Bits (Tue. 15-Mar-11 1731)

Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….

  1. Media Matters staff: Hoft Post On Wisconsin Rallies Features Hitler Youth With Obama Pins – Yes, because the Right never teaches their children to repeatedly chant slogans to match their political and/or religious beliefs. (Rolls eyes.) (Note: I’m generally not in favor of anyone, left or right, dragging their kids to political events and having them join in the chanting. But the shameless Godwinisms and Obamaphobia of this particular dolt makes my focusing my criticisms on his side of the aisle defensible, I think.)
  2. First Look at the Batman Crossover We’ve All Been Waiting For [Television] – I would be unhappy aboput this, save that BtBatB has handled retro stuff with fun and wit. It’s not my favorite Batman animated series, but it’s had some great moments.
  3. Don’t forget the other little creatures – Awww.

  1. Most of the folks I know who brought their kids to the rallies (including THIS guy!) brought them so that they could witness what a truly democratic movement looks like. Historic stuff, didn’t want my oldest to miss it.

    1. And that’s fair enough, and even kind of cool. I’m just not thrilled with people who bring their kids to be protesters per se, or who seek to make a political point at protests through their kids (again, regardless of the political persuasion).
