This is a lovely little book, detailing three years in a girl’s life (6-8th grade) where she deals with the trials and travails of middle school while also dealing with some major tooth injuries and orthodontic reconstruction. It’s funny and poignant and just fun to read, and the drawing is just as charming as the writing.
I picked up the book because of it winning an Eisner as “Best Publication for Teens.” I plan on passing it on to my 11yo daughter.
Highly recommended.
