I'm not sure what the point of this article is, since I don't know of anyone who doesn't think that there aren't single issues of various comic book titles that are exemplary and memorable.
But it's a good list (of the ones I recognize) of some pretty spiffy one-off stories, as well as recommendations in the comments, too.
Done-in-one issues are, in fact, something special. But it's important to also realize that while they may be one-offs in terms of the explicit storyline, but gain their significance in terms of what's going on in the stories around them (and the context of the character over some time). #ddtb

10 Issues of Ongoing Comics that Prove Single Issues Can Be Great
It's new comics day, and for many of us that means a trip to our local comic store to pick up those amazing pamphlets filled with graphic storytelling.

I think the only one of those I've read was the G.I. Joe "Silent Interlude". Must've been a slow (comics) news day, or something….
Whereas that's one I've not read (never having been a GI Joe fan).
