Amy Pond (and, oh yeah, Rory) leaving "Doctor Who"

Sometime next season, or so we're told. I have to confess, I've never been as ga-ga for Amy as some seem to be, but Karen Gillen has done a decent job with the role. As Matt Smith notes, though, " This show is about change and regeneration."

I was trying to figure out where the article comes off calling Amy the Doctor's "longest-serving assistant" and "a record 26 episodes". But checking out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who_companions seems to support that (but only if you count, it seems, an entire serial as "one episode"). #ddtb

A shame….I really liked their chemistry 🙁
