Really? You mean to tell me that this is such a pressing issue, so urgent and critical and overwhelmingly important of a matter that Lamar Smith (R-TX), the head of the House Judiciary committee arguing over markups on the bill, has to hold a special session next Wednesday, when everyone's heading off for the holidays?
Or is it just that it will maybe make for more quiet and less public spotlight as this awful bill progresses? Hmmmm, wonder which it is …?
I suppose we should all be greatful that Smith has now said he will "consider" whether a hearing on the security implications of the bill should be held. #ddtb
