In a hole in the ground…

In honor of the trailer for next year’s film (not really) we went to The Hobbit for dinner. Yum!

  1. I hate your guts. I miss that place.
So what did you eat? What wine(s)?

What restaurant were you in where the waitress didn’t understand that rosso is closer to red than to white, phonetically?

    1. 1. The key dishes were a lovely salmon for the fish course, and Beef Wellington for the meat course. Wines were a Cakebread Zinfandel for the salad and fish courses, and a Tablas Creek Esprit de Beaucastel red for the entree.

      2. The rosso-is-red kerfuffle came at “Spaghetti Eddies” in Glendora.

  2. Ummm. Wish we could have been there with you–good food, good company, good wine, good service. Dessert? A slice of Yule Log perhaps?

I don’t think I’ve tasted that zin, but I may have tasted the Esprit de Beaucastel, at the winery.
