The Obama Administration has, surprisingly, not backed down to a looser requirement, and will mandate most employers cover contraception in their health plans, with no co-pay/deductible. There will still be an religious dissent exemption for actual churches and religious nonprofits that primarily employ and serve people of a given faith, but not for any company or institution that claims a religious affiliation.
Good. Family planning is generally beneficial to all — and reduces abortion rates as well. Nobody is required to use the benefit, so nobody's faith is imposed upon who doesn't make a decision of conscience themselves. I applaud the Obama Administration for pushing forward on this. A lot of people (myself included) thought they'd cave (again). #ddtb
