Number one of which is that your voters might look at how poorly you did, what doltish things you said, and how you mishandled the various campaign crises you faced, and decide that, no, they don't want you back home, either.
Of course, it's too soon to tell with Perry — he has another four years, I think, in his term, and that's an eternity in electoral politics. Bachmann has to run this fall, the question then being will she face a primary challenger or would her district possibly flip to D.
At any rate, I'd be quite pleased to see both of them sink down into obscurity, or Fox Punditry, one or the other. #ddtb
