Main reason I'm linking to this (yet another) article on the SGK / Planned Parenthood dust-up is this particularly doltish quote from a Komen official:
'News of Komen’s decision galvanized many of Planned Parenthood’s supporters. The organization had collected $400,000 in donations by mid-afternoon on Wednesday and hoped the flow would continue long enough to replace Komen’s entire annual grants of $700,000, Ms. Laguens said. Komen supporters accuse Planned Parenthood of milking Komen’s decision to generate a fund-raising bonanza.
“Why are they going nuts?” [Komen board member and lobbyist] Mr. Raffaelli asked rhetorically. “And the answer is that they want to raise money, and they’re doing it at the expense of a humanitarian organization that shares their goals and has given them millions of dollars over the years.”'
So let me get this straight:
1. Komen has provided "millions of dollars" in grants to Planned Parenthood over the years.
2. Komen has now cut off that money on some goofy investigation charges.
3. Komen is confused that Planned Parenthood is soliciting money from people on the grounds that Komen has cut off a chunk of their funding.
How is that "at the expense of" Komen, in any way that isn't due to Komen's decision in the first place? #ddtb

Uproar as Komen Foundation Cuts Money to Planned Parenthood
Two organizations dedicated to detecting and curing breast cancer have found themselves on opposite sides of the nation’s divisive debate over abortion.
Mr. Raffaelli is an incredible jerk. Why are they going nuts? Because you cut $700,000 out of their budget in an instant, Mr. Raffaelli….
But…but…we were supposed to see the righteousness of their love. And they were supposed to stop doing abortions, so they could go back to paying them for breast cancer screenings. I mean, who wants to get shot for doing abortions anyway? It’s only 13-year-old girls who have their statutory rapist pimps who need abortions, right?
@De – Well, and the sluts, too, of course.
