It's neat that you or I can contribute to our favorite candidates for office, and that such protections are considered "free speech" by the Supreme Court.
Of course what does it mean that maybe I can make a few hundred dollars of a donation while the two Koch Bros. can individually pledge $20 and $40 million each?
Arguably, the person who owns a printing press has always been able to speak more effectively than the yokel stuck on the farm. But at some point, one has to wonder whether the simple, elegant, neat model of free speech can withstand this disparity in the volume control. #ddtb
