  1. On my first trip to Disneyland, in the early 70s, I got a 45 RPM record with “It’s a Small World” and “The Enchanted Tiki Room” on it. I listened to the Tiki song hundreds of times. They really did write some memorable songs.

I recall seeing a show where one of them reminisced about Walt repeatedly asking him to play “Feed the Birds” on the piano. Apparently it was his favorite song.

  2. I don't mean this to be disrespectful, but the NPR piece on his passing mentioned, at the very end of the piece, the song (whose title must not be named). Perhaps if they'd mentioned it earlier in the piece and then played the clips of other great tunes he'd worked on that they did the song 's catch phrase and melody wouldn't have been boring a hole in my head all morning. 😉

  3. Whoops! Would that be one of the songs I mentioned in my reply? Sorry if I reinforced your earworm, The Bruce! Perhaps you can get rid of it by thinking of “The Little Drummer Boy.”
