But when a major WSJ Op-Ed and the Cato Institute agree that domestic gasoline prices are rising because global oil prices are rising because global oil demand is rising (amongst other worrisome events), one would hope that it would quiet the "It's all a big conspiracy by Obama to make us by Communist Windmillmobiles!" crowd at least a bit. #ddtb

Actually, demand is down in the US. Demand is apparently not a factor in pricing right now.
@Marina – It’s a global market. Demand is up globally, so all petroleum prices go up, so all gasoline prices tend to follow.
