I think I've scanned a QR code with my smartphone … oh, twice in the last year or two. Coincidentally, one of the times was this weekend, scanning the code for a open box laptop at Best Buy that was on sale for a really cheap price. There was no spec info about the machine itself (which was strapped down with an alarm widget), so I scanned the prominent QR code …

… and got a page with the same (lack of) info about the machine as the price card had. And so Best Buy lost a possible sale. #ddtb
