On the one hand, it's cool that when I look at my own profile, I can see the contact info I have for myself there. And it's clearly labeled as visible only to me.
Except … hrm … I have some info in my "comments" field that I'd really rather not be visible. Even by accident. Even by some inadvertent bug by Google. Even by an impossible confluence of sun spots, evil spirits, mysterious hackers, and black helicopters.
So maybe I'll take that data off. #ddtb

Google+ Profiles get personal, now includes address book information from Google Contacts
The march towards merging all of Google's products continues, and this time it's Google Contacts that's getting the social treatment.
The Google Contacts team announced last night …

I’m not interested enough to keep my contacts info online, and I AM rather picky about who gets to know what about my contacts. I am not looking forward to iCloud.
Well, honestly, it doesn’t give me any info that I would consider of critical importance as I’m reading material online, and if it’s in my contacts info already, I can simply go there and look at it.
Oh, well.
I do use Google to hold all my contact info, just because it’s a convenient platform to do it.
