The idea behind "broken windows" policing is that if you let the minor offenses (broken windows, graffiti, etc.) get by without correction and prosecution, then the Overton Window of what becomes "acceptable" shifts, and you get still more severe crime occuring.
So why apply that just to blue collar crime, and not to white collar crime? #ddtb
