I recall when my brother and his wife were preparing to move out of an appartment one time they had a Irish Setter who was like their kid. They said that there finally came a time in the process when Brandy realized they were leaving for good. He started going all over the appartment "pointing out" places where his toys had gotten under or behind things so that he couldn't retrieve them and basically 'asking' them to not forget his things.
We recently moved some furniture and found kitty toys from circa 1992. Those predate our current cat population, so as far as they were concerned, these were brand new toys! So where are they now? Under furniture again…
