"Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" not picked past season 3
We've actually really enjoyed this cartoon at our house. Lots of good, classic Avengers plotlines and characters reworked — including, this season, some great Kree and Skrull stories.
Don't know anything about the Avengers cartoon replacing it, though the promotional image shows the members from the movie, plus the Falcon. I assume they want to align the cartoon more closely to the Marvel movie universe, which is understandable, but kind of a shame.

Is the avengers airing a 3 season or not?
Well because I just saw a commercial about
Them making a 3 season premiering on
Sunday. But right now I just saw another
Commercial that the new episode will be about
An avengers gone rouge and all that stuff and it
Shows yellow jacket. So to me that did seem a lot like
The episode “yellowjacket” so I would like to know because
I love that show
I’ll have to look it up, Grace. Last I heard (see above), they were not, but let me see what I can find.
So looking at my Xfinity listings, it does appear that there are some new (previously unaired) S.2 episodes still coming up:
Ep. 17 – “Yellowjacket” (9/9)
Ep. 18 – “Emperor Stark” (9/16)
And checking out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Avengers:_Earth's_Mightiest_Heroes_episodes , there are actually 26 episodes for S.2, so we have another 8 eps beyond the ones listed above.
And, for what it’s worth, the “next” Avengers series in 2013 is being seen, not as a new series, but a continuation (albeit with a more movie-aligned cast).
So … more goodness to come!

As I said, AEMH is ending at the end of Season 2 (in ten more episodes, starting this weekend). There is a new “Avengers Assemble” cartoon starting next year which is more closely tied to the cinematic Avengers — but which is also being spun as a successor to the existing cartoon, not a replacement … so we’ll have to see.
I thought season 2 already ended cause I saw the ending show
No, you saw the last in a block of shows (the “finale” with Ultron). But that’s episode 16 of a 26 episode series. They just had a long hiatus before starting this next block of eps.
Hi – I see that volume 5 of the dvd series is out, and only has 13 episodes listed. Is there any word of a volue 6 coming out?
No idea, Mike. I’m waiting for a bit better (less pricey and fragmented) collection of these before buying them.
