Given the NFL's tobacco-company-like denial that brain injuries and concussions are common, or significant, this could have a lot of effect on both the NFL and on football in general. If this scares off potential players (it should) or increases the insurance costs of fielding teams (it should), even if the NFL can afford it the colleges and high schools around the nation can't.
