Church (and some State) bits from 2012-08-07

The zanies are out in force:

1. NOM Defends Biblical Marriage — including the not-so-nice bits – Because even if we’re talking about virgin rape victims being required to marry their rapists, at least it’s all about women marrying men!
2. As a father, words fail me – I guess that whole “unconditional love” thing never sunk in for this father.
3. Making Louisianans unemployable for another generation – Because giving state money to teaching kids that dragons were probably real and that dinosaurs and human beings coinhabited the planet is going to do great things for the future.
4. Love thy neighbor – Unless, y’know, they’re Muslim.  Jesus didn’t say anything about loving Muslims.
5. Prison camps for the goose are prison camps for the gander – The Religious Right is suddenly up in arms over how unpleasant Sheriff Arpaio’s prison camps are … now that one of their own is in one.
6. Bryan Fischer is a Dolt (Nazis Were Liberals Edition) – There he goes again …
7. Set Theory – the Subset of All Evil! – Why the Religious Right (apparently) hates set theory.  I mean, look how I turned out.
