We are still waiting for obamas college transcripts.
Because … why?
I mean, school transcripts and all that jazz have never figured in any presidential campaign that I can think of, nor do I see how the reflect on position at hand (esp. with a term of office already out there).
On the other hand, opening up income tax returns has become traditional in presidential campaigns (just as Mitt's dad opened up twelve years of his own), to the point where if someone chooses not to, that, in and of itself, is suspicious.
What Romney was doing with his money over the last decade is a lot more germane to this race than what grades Obama got in college 35 years ago.
How about a real birth certificate? They had to give the graphic artists a little time to create that one… a bad job BTW… if you want to bring up his tax returns, at least Romney is from the actual United States…

Why the request of the college transcripts? Because he was sold to us as a genius, the smartest person ever to hold the office. Yet when he speaks off the cuff he sounds like a babbling idiot. Other than smoking pot and snorting coke, just what the hell did he study? How come nobody knows him from Occidental?
Lets face it… We are not going see them ever! Why?
Option 1: he paid very little or zero.
Option 2: As a Mormon, he gave 10% or more to charities which more then likely include some ro many very liberal organizations and causes (since that is who the real Mitt is).
Either way I say not a chance in hell they get released on purpose … Leaked somehow is a more likely scenario.

+Gary Rudd, the latest discussions I've seen of the matter agree with you — largely because by now it's too late. If he'd released them six months ago, they would be six months ago news. Releasing them now would make them fresh fodder all the way through election day, and wouldn't take any appreciable pressure off. He has no choice but to keep up the bluff the rest of the hand.
An interesting thought — if Romney does get away with this, and manages to get elected without this kind of disclosure, you can assume that all future presidential candidates will keep their finances a blacked-out secret.

Good point +Dave Hill. I agree if not released then come future elections "to release or not" will become some sort of silly political game when in reality there should be no debate on this at all.

Yeah I just executed my "if you smell like a birther you get blocked automatically" rule. I have sympathy for people with mental illnesses but I need less of them in my threads.
