A better way to open up a pumpkin?

An interesting idea. It would be easier to clean, and, if you use real candles, easier to light up.

On the other hand, I suspect it would not be as structurally stable over the long run, working better with a fresher carved pumpkin than one that's some days old.

  1. A cheap bicycle taillight is a good way to light a pumpkin. Set it to shine on the back of the pumpkin though, not forward through the holes.
