Scalzi on Disney's LucasFilm purchase

The more I ponder on the acquisition, the more I like it.  Yeah, there's all sorts of little merchandising ways it can (and likely will) go wrong, but I'm overall feeling pretty good right now about the Star Wars future.

  1. Well, it's not like Star Wars has ever been in danger of being under-merchandised. I'm tentatively hopeful. Lucas really needed to let this one pass on. Disney may still make terrible sequels, but at least someone is going to get to take a fresh look at the franchise.
