Okay, to be more fair than I probably should be, it's really easy to mess up signs. Signs get processed like art — a letter at a time. Leaving a letter out is way too easy (and I say that as someone who's a good speller and has goofed up on more posters and signs than he cares to remember).
And, by the Principle of Seeing What One Expects, it then becomes really difficult for you to notice the mistake yourself.
And all that having been said … it's still darned funny.

Why is it that so many English-only folk can’t even speak or write English, their own “native” tongue? Some of them can’t even comprehend what they read, if over a 6th grade vocabulary is used.
