I hate those and have already decided never to purchase anything from a company that advertises that way.

Chrome Extension: Sound Tabs. Any tab that is broadcasting audio is a slight yellow (default) instead of the typical blue.
I don't know if this exists or not, but it should. 😛

I have chrome's click-to-enable-plugin's setting on. Makes life a lot more predictable on the web.

It has a per-site setting — so I can enable it permanently on sites that show good behavior.
I actually ran across that setting yesterday, in a different context, and am trying it out.
