It's been interesting watching Kay's arc of what she is willing to take on face value. I'm afraid I've taught her (using the Calvin's Dad School of Explanations) to be a bit skeptical of things — at least things that I tell her that sound a bit … funny (in both senses). Hopefully that will hold her in good stead in the future.

I believe that one of the best things you can teach your children is how to think critically. Telling them tall stories in one way to encourage that.
That's always been my thinking on it, too.
It's also been amusing watching her experiment with doing the same. 🙂
Ray’s fun, because Lee will tell her something, and then…she’ll look at me, because I have a hard time keeping a straight face anyway.
This means the few times that I CAN keep a straight face are appropriately epic.
This is the true joy of parenthood . . .and may be the original genesis of many world religions.
