It's deeply disturbing to realize this movie is 27 years old, but even so it still manages to hold up remarkably well as a scary-but-kick-ass action-adventure flick, featuring multiple strong female characters and still-respectable FX.
This was part of Father-Daughter Movie Week, and I'm pleased to be able to check the box on this one for Kay. Now she'll understand the classic lines and imagery that this movie spawned.

When I heard the premise of this movie, I was worried that it was going to be all action, with none of the suspense that made the first movie so wonderful. I was happy to learn otherwise!
