Tom Cruise leads a charmed life, in that his career didn't utterly tank after this dreadfully mediocre outing, with its miscast John Woo direction, awful melodrama, and … pretty everything.
If you like gun-fu, then there's some nice bits here. You can probably find a "Best of" on Youtube, which would be a far better use of your time.

Finally catching up on the MI franchise. The first film is a regular favorite of mine. This second … won’t be. 1. Ethan Hunt is a jerk. 2. Ghost Protocol: so much better.
Most surprising thing: while casting Simon Pegg, it's actually Cruise who delivers the best comedic bits.
Well the first one was pretty horrible, not surprised that the second one was bad too.
@bd – I actually enjoyed the first one quite a bit, aside from a major plot element that irked me mightily.
Honestly, it was the good reviews for Ghost Protocol that made me want to watch MI2 and MI3.
Pegg first shows up in MI3 (as a replacement for Ricky Gervais, who was unable to fit it into his schedule).
