Tupperware

When I am appointed Dictator of the World and wear a shiny hat, I will decree standard plastic food storage container lid specifications. Right after I decree standardized microwave oven interfaces.  The masses will support me for the rest of my life if I pull off those two things.

  1. Tupperware: world dictatorship not required. Just colour-code or number each container and its lid (on the outside!) with permanent marker.

Microwaves: come now, is that such an intellectual problem? It’s dealing with such things that keeps me spry at my advanced age. You may, if you wish, ban the ones with horrible clockwork timers.

    1. The Tupperware comes in too many variants to reasonably maintain tops/bottoms in any sort of reasonable numbering scheme. Actually, we have some Rubbermaid not-semi-disposable items that actually do that, but most of the semi-disposable-but-annoyingly-long-lived ones we have it’s just not practical.
