On the one hand, this is just plain ol’ action fun, with Ahnold playing the super-spy Harry Trasker, popping caps and taking names. The twist being that Harry’s wife has no idea of his secret job. And the boredom her neglectful marriage is driving her to unwise acts — which Harry reacts badly to. This is one of those movies that I just love … as long as I don't scratch too far below the surface. I was, FWIW, gratified that my 13yo daughter found Harry's treatment of Helen pretty awful.

That really wasn't a bad movie.
The scene where Helen is being "interrogated" in the mirror room is one of my all time favorite scenes in movies.
+Isaac Sher There are elements about it I like (her defiance), and there are elements about it that make me squirm (that her husband is doing this to her).
Oh, absolutely. It's Jamie Lee Curtis' performance and character that makes that scene. Arnold's husband character is a massive prick.
