This is me, every night of a business trip, staying up too late and trying to calculate when I need to set the alarm to do all the stuff I need to do before arriving where I need to arrive.
Another reason I use my phone as an alarm when traveling, since the last thing I need to add to that equation is properly setting a strange alarm clock.

I don’t work-travel nearly as much as you do but I do the same thing.
The really annoying thing is when I then lay awake (or keep waking up) worried that I set the alarm wrong.
