SuperBowl Side-Taking by State

I find this kind of fascinating, to try and figure out why Wyoming is so pro-Broncos, while Nebraska is so pro-Seahawks.  Why California and South Carolina and Minnesota like Denver, but Ohio and Indiana and West Virginia are rooting for Seattle.

There's probably some sort of "old sports rivalry" element going on in some cases. It's possible (though I'd prefer not to think so) that the Richard Sherman thing has riled up some areas against Seattle. Both states tend to have net population imports, so it's not like there are a bunch of Washington expats in Michigan, or Colorado emigres in Mississippi.

Anyway — an interesting way of judging popular sentiment.
