We went to a big district middle school concert this evening, with participants (201 of them) from four middle schools in LPS. I took a fair amount of pictures of Kay playing (much better lighting at the high school stage than her middle school one), some of which Google auto-awesomed into this.
It was a pretty good concert. Hearing a light-jazzy arrangement of "Bohemian Rhapsody" was probably one of the more surreal moments.
One of the purposes of the soiree was to encourage the kids and parents, once again, to continue with music in high school. I think that's pretty likely right now.

Ah. No, I didn’t do any recording this time. The district may have, in which case I’ll post something.
