Arizona backs down on gay discrimination bill
Jan Brewer has vetoed a bill that tourism interests, business lobbyists, and even some of the Republican legislators who originally voted for it ("We were uncomfortable with it to start with and went along with it thinking it was good for the caucus") ended up urging her to veto.

Thank God! I lean pretty far to the right, and even I thought that was one of the worst bills ever constructed… it was basically the Jim Crowe of the 21st century
Personally I thought she should sign it so they could experience some of the discrimination they were trying to impose on others when everyone started boycotting the state. Sometimes you need to learn your lesson the hard way.
