I think this has potential — Heller can write a good story with appropriate twists and turns, and as long as they walk the fine line between being too heavy-handed with the foreshadowing and too afraid to grapple with it, this could turn out pretty decently. No, it's not going to be "canon" (whatever that means any more), but it could well be a reasonable "Elseworlds".

That synopsis does not make me optimistic. The "unlikely friendship" between Gordon and young Bruce Wayne? All the villains before they were villains? I have a bad feeling about this.
I agree, Dave. It sounds like there's some definite potential. The problem will come from fans who are angry about the new storyline flying in the face of canon, but viewing it as an Elseworlds story is the way to go.
+Scott Randel I agree that it has the possibility of going horribly, horribly wrong. But for purposes of a TV series, a compression of the timeline and cast together could be done well.
