If it's okay for someone to suffer strangulation for half an hour because incompetent state officials botched the lethal injection, then it should be okay to let someone literally strangle the prisoner for thirty minutes until they are dead.
Neither, to my mind, is acceptable.
Me? If I had the choice, yeah, I'd go for the firing squad. The idea of a "humane" lethal injection seems to be quite at odds with the reality.
