I'm sure the US evangelical leaders in who prodded and lobbied the Ugandan government so hard to "take a stand" against homosexuality are pleased as punch that an HIV treatment center funded by the US has been shut down there. After all, Jesus was all over abandoning the sick as part of God's judgment, right? Right?

Religion is no excuse for ignorance.
There are no excuses, religious or otherwise, for cruelty, and letting people live in ignorance is cruelty
Those “leaders” are leading others, including little ones, straight into sin. I’m sure they are pleased with the results. One time, I would have thought, “No, they can’t be pleased about the suffering of others,” but then came the Internet and I learned differently.
