Seems like a pretty basic physics problem to me. But it led me to do an image search for "semi truck brakes" which brought up a variety of… interesting images.
+George Wiman Oh, certainly pretty basic physics. I guess what is fascinating is what it implies about how much kinetic energy those trucks can build up at speed.
