Constantine kicks the habit

Not a huge surprise, but John Constantine won't be a smoker in his network TV adaptation (nor, presumably, suffer from lung cancer, either, as the comic book character did). Smoking is as off-limits as women's nipples on NBC, especially for a protagonist.

A shame, but I'm sure he'll find some other obnoxious and self-destructive habit to pursue (and I'm saying that re Constantine, not smokers in general; I'm pretty sure the character does it for reasons other than liking smoking or simple addiction.)
