Marvel Movie Easter Eggs

Finally had a chance to watch this after seeing it flash through my stream a few times.  Not bad, though it (a) stretches the term "Easter Egg" a bit in places, (b) has a few minor flaws (Arnim Zola does not have a giant head in the comics, but a face in a video display on his robot chest), and (c) doesn't include the MCU movies not yet out on disc (including Winter Soldier).

Still, good to see all those Stan Lee references.

  1. Yeah, not "Easter Eggs." Just in jokes and stunt casting. (Oh, and "Huggin" and "Munnin"???)

You know, with modern film technology, they could have done a convincing, even frightening, comics-style Arnim Zola. I think they missed a bet by cheaping out and going the Wizard of Oz route.

  2. +Scott Randel  You assume Arnim Zola won't be seen again. Ha!

No, I loved the visual shout-out in the first Cap movie, and the logical evolution in the second. I would not at all be surprised to see him pop up in the third in his more Kirbyesque version.

(Hell, it would make an interesting cross-over with the Avengers and Ultron, too.)

  3. And, let's face it, how many people can confidently pronounce Hugin and Munin?

(And, more importantly, I hadn't previously spotted them in the Avengers movie, so kudos there.)
