Death by Spacing

Y'know, this is one of those questions that keeps coming up on a regular basis, often with different answers.  In this particular article, relying on a video from the Smithsonian, the answer is "You'd suffocate to unconsciousness in less than a minute because the air would escape from your hemorrhaged lungs (due to vacuum); also, major bloating  would probably incapacitate you with pain."

  1. +Scott Randel I would think that would help — but I'm not sure you could exhale enough to reduce the pressure issues for the pulmonary system. (Of course, there are other openings in the human body that would also likely create problems, too.)
