With Liberty and Surplus Military Equipment for All

I fear that Arapahoe County, Colorado, is a piker. It only picked up 171 assault rifles, 6 night vision goggles, and 1 mine-resistant vehicle. (Note that list could be county, cities in the county, and state agencies based in the county.)

What I want to know is, why didn't we also pick up a grenade launcher, like JeffCo?  _We're falling behind in the Surplus Arms Race!_

Drilling down to the source material, the "assault rifles" were a combo of 5.56mm (@$500) and 7.62mm (@$138). Some bipods and bayonets were also picked up, in case the nativfes get restless.

That MRAV was priced at $412K.

Other interesting items picked up from the Pentagon by my county included 5 "THERMOMETER, CLINICAL, HUMAN," 29 insect nets, 2 "TV, PERSONAL / HOME USE," 32 pieces of "RECREATIONAL & GYMNASTIC EQUIPMENT," and 1 "TAPE, REFLECTIVE" (@$99.61).

Think of it as a crazy garage sale.
