Doctor Who fandom – yup, that's just about right

As long as it doesn't get violent, kids.

  1. +Charles Carrigan Uh-oh. I'm much more on the Green Shirt's side. (His name is Dave, too, though that's just a coincidence.)

And I totally think Donna was the best Companion.

Clara — is just too — magically clever-cute. Amy on authorial steroids without Rory to ground her. I think her best (and most human) appearance to date was her very first, "Asylum of the Daleks."

  2. Having known nothing but the modern Doctors, I've adopted the outlook that the companions really who the show is about (or how they interact with this unstable weather system known as The Doctor), so I love em all, but I do love em all.

  3. There are some I love, there are some I like, there are some who have moments. I think you are right that, in the Modern Who era, the Companions are, if not who the show is about, then who the viewer is meant to relate to (and relate to the Doctor through). I've found that much more difficult to do with Clara than with others, for a variety of reasons.
