  1. Walking around the neighborhood, there was a lot of down foliage — leaves and small twigs, even from the evergreens. Saw a small amount of house damage — a couple of broken windows, a broken pane on a house light.

    The adjuster came by this afternoon. His comment was this was the second worse car damage he'd seen from the storm.

  2. Whoa. $6700 estimate.

    Now comes the debate: with a 10-year-old car, is it worth spending the $750 deductible to get the repair work done? Or pocket the money (i.e., put it toward our kitchen)?

    Kelley Blue Book indicates that's just about the price I would expect to pay to a private party for the car.
