For those who are in our area — there are closures planned for the flyover from C-470 East to I-25 North which should make for some excellent reasons not to get anywhere near that area.
Per CDOT:
OVERNIGHT CLOSURE: Thursday, Nov. 6 from 9 p.m. to Friday, Nov. 7 at 5 a.m.
WEEKEND CLOSURE: Friday, Nov. 7 at 9 p.m. to Monday, Nov. 10 at 5 a.m.
TRAVEL IMPACTS:
Eastbound C-470 to northbound I-25 Detour: To detour around this closure, motorists on eastbound C-470 looking to transition to northbound I-25 will be directed to keep left and join eastbound E-470, exiting at Peoria St. Motorists will take a left at the bottom of the ramp (joining northbound Peoria St.) and then another left to join westbound E-470 traffic via the highway on-ramp. Once on westbound E-470, motorists will be directed to the northbound I-25 on-ramp.
I've seen crazier detours, but I think people will probably be making their own detours, too, making the Park Meadows area in general a bit crazy. Drivers beware.
