Forms are getting in place for the foundation pour. I can actually start to see what this is going to look like, which is keen.
They've been putting tarps down on the ground overnight, both to help insulate the ground a bit and to (especially, I think) keep the light overnight snow showers from getting the ground all muddy again.

Coming up on three weeks. How much of a hassle is this?
Well for us, at the moment, not much of one. They won't break the wall into the house until January. At this point it's mainly watching them work (or wondering why they aren't), lamenting the state of the yard, and writing checks.
That's what I remember from our remodel – writing really big checks every week.
But they say at the end it's all worth it, right?
Um … right?
