The huge asteroid / "dwarf planet" Ceres. I can remember when this was just a bright blob in the strongest telescopes, and people had no real idea what it looked like.

That bright dot is the alien base, but they are holding back the enhanced image.

Actually, the bright dot is the alien. He's really big.
I don't think of asteroids as spherical. Size does matter!
